Flatapps
Software that refuses to become the owner of the thing it helps you make.
Flatapps is the home for FlatNote, FlatGrid, and Flat Voice — one set of flat apps. Honest software for ordinary files.
This site is the public face of that refusal. It is not a pitch for Flat Cloud, a Flat account, a Flat workspace, or a Flat database that glues the apps together. Those would be a new owner wearing a friendly name.
The category, if you need one, is not “minimalist productivity.” It is architectural flatness: keep the user's artifact canonical, use boring formats, and leave the filesystem as the ecosystem.
App Store links will appear when they are real. Until then the product pages say so. This site does not run analytics.
Domain
flatapp.is is the family home. Dedicated pages live at /flatnote, /flatgrid, /flatvoice, and /flat-out.
Flat Out is the editorial voice — notes on software that stays out of the way.
The laws, again
Same six. They don't rotate.

The user's artifact is canonical.
The file wins. The app may show, sort, or prettify. It does not become the original.

Use boring, durable formats.
Markdown, CSV, TXT, TSV, JSON, folders. Formats you can open without us.

Don't infer without permission.
00123 stays 00123. A leading zero is not a suggestion. Guessing is a feature request, not a default.

Don't require infrastructure you don't need.
No account. There isn't anything an account would do for you.

Apps compose through artifacts, not platforms.
Same folder. Matching filenames. The filesystem is the ecosystem.

If the app disappeared tomorrow, the work remains useful.
