FlatGrid · the grid is the CSV
table.csv
A grid for plain CSV files.
The grid is the CSV. Free on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Why FlatGrid
Three promises
01
Open it. Use it. Done.
This tool isn't needy. It doesn't ask for anything. It just works.
02
Simple as 1 + 1 = 2.
See the math right below the total. Check it yourself. Nothing to hide.
03
Your business is none of ours.
No accounts. No tracking. No subscriptions. We don't take your data.

What it does
A grid on top of a plain file
FlatGrid opens a CSV and shows it as a grid. Edit a cell and the file changes. The grid is the CSV.
Every cell stays exactly as you typed it. 00123 stays 00123. Dates stay in the layout you wrote them.
Add a sum, average, count, smallest, or largest value to any column. The total sits under the column, and the line below it lists every number that went into it, row by row.
Your tables live in a folder you choose, in Files or Finder. Open them in any spreadsheet, on any device. FlatGrid is free, with every feature included.
On disk
The artifact is canonical
table.csvSource of truth. The grid shows it and edits it in place.*.tsvSame law. Tabs instead of commas. Still a file.folder/Related tables sit next to each other, where you put them.
The Flat family
Flat Apps. Software that minds its own business.
If FlatGrid disappeared tomorrow, your CSV would still open in anything that reads a table.
